Jesus, of course, had numerous encounters with the demons. Interestingly, on one occasion when his disciples were unable to cast a particularly stubborn demon out of a young boy, Jesus said something to the effect that this kind can only be dealt with through prayer. That doesn't necessarily mean that one prayer or even many will bring an end to demon harassment, but intense supplication on a regular basis can.
A number of years ago, when I lived in Texas, I knew an older brother who was harassed by the demons for years. The elders had been to his place and looked for things that he may have picked up that had some occult connection. He threw away lots of stuff, but still no relief. He even moved out of his house and got a house trailer, but still the harassment continued. I had just moved into the congregation and heard of his situation, and so I took an interest in him and used to go over to his place and chat with him and pray with him. One day I intensely supplicated Jehovah for him. Later that evening he called me on the phone and asked if I had been praying for him. When I told him that I had, his voice began shaking and he broke down weeping and thanking me saying that today had been the first day that he had gotten any relief. But, as it turned out, some time later the demons returned. But, gradually over time the attacks subsided and he was left in peace.
Here's the thing as regards your situation: The demons are opportunists. They are animalistic, in that they are like predators that can sense any weakness in their intended prey. In your case, dealing with depression, and perhaps some other physical or chemical imbalances, which you may not even be aware of, the demons were able to terrorize you my exploiting some mental illness that you had. So it wasn't just a matter for Jehovah to make them go away seeing that there may be an underlying physical condition that you are dealing with. At any rate, it seems that the real problem is your lack of faith. It seems to me that you were unwilling to go the long haul and allow Jehovah's will to be completely done. You placed certain qualifiers upon your faith in God. That's not a wise thing to do. There's a Proverb that says something like: 'It is the foolishness of man that distorts his way, and yet his heart becomes enraged against Jehovah himself.'
It sounds to me as if that is what has happened in your case, in that, because Jehovah did not respond the way YOU THOUGHT he should, you then determined that he was not acting appropriately toward you. You have instead called God a liar because you say that he broke his word and let you be tempted beyond what you could bear. It is evident that you also placed certain other qualifications upon your dedication to God, like WT chronology. In other words: Your relationship with God and Christ depended upon Jehovah making the demons leaving you alone and the WT gettin certain prophecies in order. In your case the ransom sacrifice of Christ was just not enough for you.
Yet, you are still left with the knowledge that there are demons running loose in the world stalking mankind like serial killers. Most people don't know that. Most apostates seem to have rejected the revelation of Christ that demons run the world, so they become the ready and willing pawns of those cosmic apostate thugs. You, on the other hand, know that the demons exist. You must also know that Christ will eventually lock them up and eventually execute them. So, in that respect you had been given a gift, in a way. You are aware of certain unseen realities that govern this world. My advice to you is not to cowardly shrink back into the demon camp. Even if you experience no relief in this system, you at least have an opportunity to show God that there is no situation so unpleasant or terrible that can cause you to turn against him. At the very latest your problem will take care of itself when the demons get crushed under Christ's kingdom. / You Know

The Blood Issue
by dutyfree ini have a question about the infamous blood issue, which i am sure will be very easy for some people to answer.. in the bible, niv, nwt, kj or whatever, the line, '...you should abstain from blood...' is taken literally by the witnesses and they do not take into account other scriptures whilst reading it.. what other scriptures are there in the bible to support the theory that the writer's intended meaning was not to take it literally?
so, in other words, i have argued with jws that it means to not drink blood as there were no iv needles around then to inject the blood into the veins.
but are there any other scriptures to back this up?.

***Even Jesus realized that there are exceptions to the law. Especially if human life is on the line.***
You have misunderstood the account. Jesus was not making an exception to the sabbath law by healing the man's hand. The point Jesus was making is that the Law did not forbid such a thing in the first place. As Jesus said: "So it is lawful to do a fine thing on the sabbath."
***How can the Society ignore this lesson from Jesus? How can they so rigidly enforce a law over basic mercy?***Jehovah's Witnesses are not ignoring Jesus' lessons. The most vital lesson that Jesus ever taught is that obedience to God is more important than life itself. Besides, when it comes to blood transfusions, many thousands of people have lost their lives from a medical proceedure that is supposed to save lives. The number of those who have died from tainted blood or hemolytic reactions doesn't begin to compare to the relative handful of Witnesses that may have died from loss of blood. The latest issue In Great Britain over mad cow disease in donated blood is just one of many dangers that exist. / You Know

There aren't any. In the context of the apostolic decree, they also included fornication and idolatry as things that Christians should abstain from. Since there clearly are no allowances in the Scriptures for partial fornication or a little bit of idol worship, it stands to reason that to abstain from blood means what it says. / You Know

Where do you go to die?
by wasasister infor the majority of humans, certain events are surrounded by tradition and ritual.
marriage, the birth of children, entrance into adulthood, and death are all life-events which will be marked by most with a form of religious ceremony.
for the few who have left off affiliation with a religious organization, these events are marked differently - more by tradition than by mystic ritual.

***You know and most religionists attach complicated agendas to god and his will***
The purpose of the tribulation is to scour away all the organizational stuff that has become attached to the faith. When once the smoke of Jehovah's anger lifts, only the true faith will remain, everything else will be incinerated as stubble. That's why the Bible talks about our faith being put into a furnace so as to refine it. Those who emerge from the crucible will have their love and faith refined as gold and will be rewarded accordingly. Those who trust in men, be it Ray Franz or the Watchtower, Howdy Doody, or themselves, will have a very tough time of it. Obviously those who have deluded themselves into imagining that Christ's words won't come true will not even be in the running. / You Know

***I do believe strongly that he who endures to the end in living a loving life is the one that will be saved***
The context of Jesus's remarks about enduring to the end had to do with the loss of love on the part of the greater number because of the increasing of lawlessness. Typically we think of lawlessness as having to do with crime and violence, but that is not necessarily the case. Lawlessness, particularly as used in the Scriptures, has to do with rebellion against God. For example, the apostate "man of lawlessness." Also where Jesus says to the hypocrites: "Get away from me you workers of lawlessness." His prophetic judgment is leveld against those who pretend to be his followers and not merely petty criminals or whatever. So, in the context about enduring to the end, Jesus prophesied about spiritual breakdown among God's people that we see developing today. That's apparent where Jesus said in verse 10: "Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and mislead many." Certainly the many false brothers and lurking faithless elders and others in the midst of the organization today, stands as an obvious fulfillment of Jesus' words. At 2nd Peter the 2nd chapter, apostate elders are specifically called false prophets. So the foretold stumbling, hatred, and betrayal that Jesus foretold is evidenced by the eruption of apostasy among God's people. Individuals like Ray Franz and others have obviously misled many. Going forward, we can only expect the apostasy to further spread like gangrene so that at the sudden outbreak of the tribulation, many will not be able to endure the shaking, having allowed their love and faith to be eroded.

***Why don't you try citing some examples in the New Testament, of JESUS' words where he required ANYONE to do
ANYTHING.***That's not a problem. But my guess is, that because there are so many verses that one could cite, that you simply lack the spiritual wherewithall to get the sense of ANYTHING.
There are for instance many places where Jesus called on people to repent and follow him. The very fact that Jesus said that "he that endures to the end is the one that will be saved" indicates that in order for persons to receive salvation they had to expend themselves and endure whatever hardships come upon them. Jesus also warned his followers who were in line for life, that they should stay on the watch and not become weighed down with life's anxieties and daily affairs for fear that Jehovah's day would also ensnare them. Jesus also said to "exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door because many will seek to get in but will not be able." And of course Jesus warned his apostles to be on guard for the teachings of apostates who would try to persuade Christians to a different course than the one to which they were called. Futhermore, in Revelation, Jesus sent a message to one of his 7 congregations saying: "Become watchful, and strengthen the things remaining that were ready to die, for I have not found your deeds FULLY PERFORMED before my God."
***What the hell did the robber do to qualify for this gift? ASK?
Yes, he asked to be remembered. But did you know that Jehovah says that he will not listen to the pleas of apostates when once the judgment upon this old system begins?
*** Gimme a break. As usual, @$$holes trying to put qualifiers on Jesus' gift of salvation.***
